Project CTP Comedor vestidores y Usos múltiples

CTP - COMEDOR VESTIDORES Y USOS MÚLTIPLES

PESQUERÍA, NUEVO LEÓN

Techint, a leading business group in steel production and industrial development with global presence, received on September 7, 2017 LEED certification for New Constructions v2009 Silver level, reaching 56 points, in its building Comedor Vestidores y Usos Múltiples of Central Termoeléctrica Pesquería in the municipality of Pesquería, in Nuevo León.

Under the “Campus Program” modality, which allows the scope of credits with actions developed for the benefit of nearby constructions, Sala de Tableros Control y Administración becomes the fourth of five buildings in the campus to obtain this certification . The other buildings, CTP – Sala de Tableros Control y Administración; CTP – Caseta de Servicio Médico; CTP – Taller Almacén Gral y Laboratorio and CTP – Sala de Ctrl y CCM Planta de Agua obtained this same recognition this year.

Among the sustainability strategies applied in the campus, the water circuit stands out, where all wastewater from the processes, as well as the rainwater is treated on site, resulting in zero use of drinking water from the municipal network. Likewise, a rigorous plan for the preservation of local flora and fauna was followed, incorporating reforestation programs for 33,000 native trees to the area and relocation of fauna to nearby areas of similar characteristics.

Grupo Techint replicates the creation of environment-friendly facilities in our country. In 2012, this business group obtained the LEED Certification for its steel factory “Tenaris Tamsa Expansión”, located in the state of Veracruz for its Tenaris business unit, making it the first heavy industry building with this environmental recognition Worldwide.
