Project Oficinas Bioconstrucción WELL

Bioconstrucción y Energía Alternativa, a leading company in Latin America for consulting services in green building, received on September 22 the first certification in Mexico of the WELL Building Standard for its corporate offices called “Oficinas Bioconstrucción (BEA347)“, located in the metropolitan area of Monterrey.

The innovative and demanding WELL Building Certification, developed by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), is a performance-based assessment applied to buildings that combines the global best practices in design and construction with the purpose of positively impacting health and well-being of the human being, thus increasing the capacities of concentration and productivity, reinforcing the social sense of its occupants.

The 430-square-meters project obtains this recognition by combining holistically architectural and engineering improvements, as well as modifications in the internal policies that resulted in the correct fulfillment of all the preconditions that the WELL Building Standard evaluation scale demands.

The fulfillment of the preconditions of the WELL Building standard, divided into 7 concepts (air, water, nourishment, lighting, fitness, comfort and mind), allowed this project to obtain this recognition at its Silver level.
