TECHNICAL COORDINATOR – ENERGY MODELING
BIOCONSTRUCCIÓN Y ENERGÍA ALTERNATIVA
Rafael is our Building Energy Modelling team manager, he is also the director of the Building Envelope Energy Efficiency verification unit of BEA. He has been involved in the development and supervision of more than 35 energy modelling projects including LEED modelling for several project types as well as developing specialized studies and consulting services for bioclimatic and high performance building design.
He has experience with building energy efficiency projects for both commercial and academic areas, during his Master studies he was an intern for the Innovation department in Owens Corning Mexico, also during that time, he collaborated with the Thermal and Renewable Energy Group of the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering School in the UANL.
Rafael graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from the National Polytechnic Institute. In 2010 he studied a Thermo fluids post-graduate course, then in 2012 he graduated as a Master of Science in Engineering with orientation in thermal and renewable energy at the UANL. In 2014 he obtained his LEED AP BD+C credential.
