AEROSTRUCTURE ACOUSTIC BOND FACILITY
UTC Aerospace Systems, one of the world’s largest aerospace products suppliers, obtained in December 2016 the LEED certification for New Construction v2009 Gold level in its Aerostructures Acoustic Bond Facility project, located in Mexicali, Baja California.
The newly built industrial plant operates with a low environmental impact and differentiates it from a similar building by having greater benefits for the occupant and the planet. The set of property strategies encourage the reduction of water consumption, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, the care of site conditions and the promotion of the use of products manufactured with recycled or regional raw materials. These strategies are aligned to the sustainability plan with which the company is directed since 2006.
The LEED Gold level for this site was achieved with 60 points, as a result of excellent coordination and communication of the team involved in the project.
