Project TEC-Library District

TEC-Library District

MONTERREY, NL

Under the modality for new constructions, the TEC-Library District project obtained the LEED Certification in July 2018, successfully approving a strict series of guidelines that integrate the best construction practices with the use of regional and / or recycled content materials and the installation of efficient energy, hydraulic and air conditioning systems. It also addresses issues such as the harmonious integration with the urban area and the promotion of alternative transportation to the private car for users. All this, developed from early stages of project design to the latest finishes, turning the Tec Library into a world-class study space.

On the other hand, this new study space was recognized this year as the Best Academic Library in the World 2018 at the Library Interior Design Awards, by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and the American Library Association (ALA).

The “Gold” level of the LEED Certification scale is the result of the excellent coordination of the institution’s work team, who, obtaining 70 points out of the 110 available, surpassed the levels with a great advantage “Certificate” and “Silver”.
